As the holy month of Ramadan was approaching at the end of March, Mojo created the first ever research strategy report on Young Muslim Americans and their thoughts, feelings and experiences about Ramadan. We designed this report into a beautiful and stunning website, with colorful expression and custom Arabic calligraphy.
There are 4 million Muslims in America yet the holiday is somewhat of a mystery in dominant culture and the Marketing world. So this report was conducted to help demystify that community.
Mojo reached out to us to help build the design direction, storytelling and overall creative concept of the report and how to visualize the Ramadan experience. So we came up with the idea of The Abundant Joy of Doing Nothing.
The creative direction and design direction is inspired by the joy and abundance of love in the community during Ramadan dinners. The joy of doing nothing. With Muslims whole lives turning upside down and related to the movement of the sun, we used the colors of sunsets and sunrises as inspiration for
the interactive website and intoxicating colors. With custom Arabic calligraphy and interactive sun animations as you scroll through.You can find your joy and learn about the culture.
